Neuss, September 1, 2026 – On the second-to-last day of the Neuss Citizens’ Shooting Festival, the Agency for Domestic Help (AfH) made its debut at the Zeughaus Neuss with its very first BIWAK.
In addition to representatives from the invited shooting clubs, we were also pleased to welcome State Parliament Representative Dr. Jörg Geerlings, the committee of the Neuss Citizens’ Shooting Club, and the shooting kings and queen—Her Majesty Franz Josef II and Claudia Odendahl—to this special occasion.
As a locally founded company, the household assistance agency has gone the extra mile this year. Through its public image, this provider of household-related services is demonstrating its connection to the city and its sense of belonging to the region.
The event was well attended, with about 200 guests. The St. Josef Breberen–Schümm e.V. brass band provided musical accompaniment throughout the afternoon.
But that wasn’t all, because in addition to music and dance, the raffle was also a highlight of the event. With proceeds totaling 5,000 euros, the Förderverein Kinder- und Jugendhilfe Neuss e.V. and the Förderverein der Kinderklinik im Lukaskrankenhaus Neuss (Aktion Luftballon) will each receive 2,500 euros in support.
“We’ve had an eventful day. Together, we were able to revive the shooting festival tradition and raise funds for a good cause in the process,” says Simon Neubert, managing director of AfH.
