No other era highlights the importance of digital connectivity quite like today’s. Whether you’re keeping up with the news, communicating with family and friends, or spending your free time playing games—digital devices like smartphones and tablets have become indispensable in our homes. For older adults and people with disabilities, however, using these digital tools can be a major challenge.
The EnnaCare team recognized this challenge and turned the solution into an innovative product designed to facilitate close family ties and digital engagement.
About EnnaCare
The startup was founded in Munich in 2020 by Jakob Bergemeier, Tim Haug, and Moritz Kutschera with the mission of making the digital world accessible to everyone through barrier-free services.
The company is committed to promoting digital inclusion for seniors and people with disabilities in Germany by providing a tactile user interface and smart technology.
How enna works
On a standard tablet, users have access to digital content such as communication and support. The system is operated using so-called enna cards. These are haptic chip cards labeled with a specific command (e.g., “Call daughter” or “News”). As soon as one of these cards is placed on the enna dock, the tablet executes the corresponding command.
The Domestic Help Agency is pleased to announce its partnership with EnnaCare, which will enable us to provide even better support to our clients and their families in their daily lives and make digital solutions more accessible.
